A book about a girl who decides her calling is to preach to lost souls and goes to a new town to start a church. My first Janette Oak and I love it!

The Redemption of Sarah Cain, repackaged edition -
        By: Beverly Lewis

This is my first Beverly Lewis and I've read it about 7 times. It's about a throughly modern woman whose 5 Amish nieces and nephews become legally hers. Read the book before you watch the movie.

Wives and Daughters -
        By: Elizabeth Gaskell
Wives and Daughters
A great book based on Molly, the daughter of a widowed doctor. The book focuses on her challenges as her life changes with the addition of a stepmother and flirty stepsister.
Pride and Prejudice -
        By: Jane Austen

Pride and Prejudice
A well-known classic based on the Bennet girls' lives though focusing mostly on Elizabeth. This is a book filled with laughs and turns. Also, the older movie of Pride and Prejudice follows the book so well that it's like you're reading the book! How cool is that?!

Heidi -
        By: Johanna Spyri, Cecil Leslie
Heidi
A great book about Heidi, a young orphan girl who lives with her grandfather in the mountains. As a very likeable and happy child she discovers the wonders of the people, land, and animals of the mountains. There are sequels to this book.
A Little Princess, Hardcover -
        By: Frances Hodgson Burnett

A Little Princess
A story based on an imaginative girl who lives at a boarding school for girls. But when a tragic event happens, Sara's life changes from the most popular girl to the lowliest. But can the mischievous monkey and generous man next door change this?
Just Thirteen

Just Thirteen
This book is about Pansy's thirteenth year. This was my favorite books for awhile and is now on my top ten list. Love it!

Swiss Family Robinson
After a family is shipwrecked and left on an island
to provide for themselves, they must discover the wonders of the animals and plants of the island to
stay alive. A great book for the imaginative!
